Specialty attachment: Scarifier
 
The Catalyst Scarifier removes thatch, moss, and other debris from a lawn. Thatch is a layer of old grass stems and dead moss that can compact in a lawn, preventing water and nutrients from reaching the soil, and stopping grass from rooting properly. 
 
Removing thatch can:
Improve water and nutrient delivery
Reduce the growth of moss, mildew, and fungi
Promote healthier lawn growth
Increase sunlight, water, nutrients, and airflow to the roots
